Winter Camping!
Peter and I spent the night on the island on April 15th, 2002. There was still snow on the ground and, as most of you know, Dad's camp is NOT insulated, so, yes, there was a layer of ice in the toilet bowl in the morning! David had taken care of us by getting a boat ready for us and building a fire for us the morning we arrived. It was a beautiful afternoon when we got there and we were able to make a fire in the pit and sit beside it to receive our visitors. We were hoping for more (the more the merrier you know), but David, Dad and Puppy did stop by for a toddy. The island is very quiet this time of year but its always great to be at the island!!!
